Species reactivity
Human (Homo sapiens); Due to limited knowledge and inability for testing each and every species, the reactivity of the antibody may extend to other species which are not listed hereby.
Description
Antigens are peptides or recombinant or native dependent on the production method.Sodium azide NaN3 is often used to prevent antibody degradation in 0,02% W/V concentrations. MBS Monoclonals supplies azide free antibodies on request.Recently MBS Monoclonals made this CD18, Activation Epitope (Leukocyte Associated Antigen, LFA-1 beta2) ( ) available without azide. It will stick less and is more suitable for ELISA or in vivo studies. However you need to store the @VV@ frozen and ship on dry ice.
Storage and shipping
Store the antibody at +4 degrees Celsius for short term storage.. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and For optimal long term storage, the antibody should be kept at -20 degrees Celsius. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months the antibody should be stored at -20 degrees Celsius.. Prior to use, briefly centrifuge the original vial after thawing and before lid. If further dilution(s) are needed, they can be done with the appropriate assay buffer.
Specificity and cross-reactivity
Recognizes an epitope on the human CD18 molecule that is hidden in the CD11/CD18 heterodimer on resting cells. Clone 3H1050 binds very weakly to resting peripheral blood leukocytes and strongly to all leukocytes upon cellular activation. The epitope recognized is also exposed during dissociation of the CD11/CD18 by low pH.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
